Restaurant Wanha Mylly – The Old Mill – is situated in the 18th century farm steward´s house of the Herttoniemi Manor. The Manor house, which lies right next to the restaurant, has had an eventful history since middle ages with several owners who have played important roles in the history of Finland. Restaurant Wanha Mylly has been a fully licensed restaurant for 45 years. The restaurant is owned by Vinclar Oy, which is a family-owned company.
The Steward´s House houses some 70 seats for diners. During the summer season there is an open-air terrace restaurant right in front of the Manor house with 150 seats, surrounded by lilacs. A 40-seat partition of the terrace, Myllyn Siipi, is covered and fitted with heating.
The Steward´s house has two chambers, a small hall and a cabinet, all furnished with in a farmhouse style. In the homelike chambers we may arrange cozy family reunions, business dinners and other tailor-made events.
Restaurant Wanha Mylly is located in Herttoniemi, Helsinki and is easily accessed from the Herttoniemi metro station by buses 84, 85, 86, 88 and 89. Get off the bus at the beginning of Linnanrakentajantie, where one can see the mill.
